Dana raises money from foundations and government agencies to support all of PEN America’s programs. She brings to her work over 20 years of experience as a grantwriter and fundraiser, including positions at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado (where her work helped to preserve a treasured audio archive from the Naropa Summer Writing Program, founded by poets Allen Ginsberg and Anne Waldman), The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and as a freelance grantwriter. She earned a BS in Radio/TV/Film at Northwestern University and an MA in Communications at the University of Pennsylvania.
