Beatriz Aldereguia Pons serves as Chief of Staff to PEN America, working closely with senior leaders and across the organization to support organizational growth. Beatriz has spent her career at the intersection of nonprofit management, executive communications and public policy, most recently serving as Chief Speechwriter to two Presidents of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Prior to that, Beatriz worked at Women Deliver and the Brennan Center for Justice. Beatriz served as visiting lecturer for Writing and Delivering Speeches for Politics, Private Sector & Non-Profits at Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs in 2020 and 2021.

Beatriz has a B.A. from Wellesley College and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she focused on organizational strategy and development.
