18: In Transit
In Transit explores the adapted, uprooted, translated, and relocated, following literature that moves through space and time. In this issue, Lydia Davis discusses short forms with Osama Alomar and Sjón, and Martin Amis goes back in time. With fiction by Xiaolu Guo, Anthony Marra, Amanda Michalopoulou, and Shawn Vestal; poetry by Frank Bidart, Ruth Ellen Kocher, and Gozo Yoshimasu; new translations of Yannis Ritsos and Payam Feili; and short talks from Judith Butler, Natalie Diaz, Eileen Myles, and Justin Vivian Bond. Issue 18 will transport you to the spaces between exits and arrivals.
Plus train trips, car rides, graphic memoir by Mana Neyestani, art by Bryan Olson, and detailed instructions on letters and living from some of our favorite writers.
