This copresentation with Witness and their online program HUB, which uses video and web technologies to expose human-rights violations around the world, will explore how personal stories of abuse can be transformed into powerful tools for justice that promote public engagement and policy change. Authors Uzodinma Iweala, Amanda Michalopoulou, Patricia McCormick, Kashmira Sheth, and Jutta Richter present two short clips chosen from the HUB web site and talk about the personal significance of those particular incidents.

This program will be introduced by Guergana Petkova from Witness; Q&A session to follow.
