April 30, 2009 | NYU | NYC
Muriel Barbery is the author of the award-winning international best-seller The Elegance of the Hedgehog, a novel that The Washington Post called “exceptionally winning.” Barbery is joined by The New Yorker magazine’s Adam Gopnik for a discussion about the mysteries of childhood, the novel as philosophical fable, and why one Parisian psychotherapist is prescribing Muriel’s novel to her patients.
Cosponsored by La Maison Française, NYU and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy
