PEN America has revealed the longlists for its 2017 Literary Awards.
 
The awards include nine book award longlists. Prizes include: Debut Fiction PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award; PEN Open Book Award PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing; PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay PEN/Jacqueline Bograd Weld Award for Biography; PEN Award for Poetry in Translation PEN Translation Prize; and PEN/John Kenneth Galbraith Award for Nonfiction, among others. Finalists will be announced on January 18, and winners for most of the awards will be revealed on February 22. The winners will be honored in a ceremony at The New School’s Tishman Auditorium in New York on March 27.
