On the closing day of the 2011 PEN World Voices Festival, Yale University’s Sterling Professor of the Humanities Harold Bloom joined Paul Holdengräber for a discussion at the NYPL. Now in his eighth decade, Bloom reflects back on his life-long love affair with literature and recites some of his favorite poems. In a far-ranging conversation, he revisits his classic work of literary criticism, The Anxiety of Influence. He also discusses Till I End My Song, his recent collection of poems, and his enduring love of Walt Whitman.
