Beginning this week the PEN Poetry Series is adding Ana Božičević and Amy King to its roster of guest editors. In the current installment, Ana and Amy have chosen to feature work by Emily Pettit. I’ve been looking forward to Emily’s new book, Goat in the Snow, and now it’s here, from one of my favorite small presses, Birds LLC. You should buy two or three and give them to strangers. Also, Emily happens to edit one of my favorite lit mags, Jubilat, which just put out a new issue that is full of mindbending work.

Also in the small press world, Yes Yes Books is offering a rad deal on subscriptions. Great for Xmas or Hanukkah.

In case you’re not yet charmed by Jon Cotner’s particular genius, he’s got a new walking project up at The Believer. This one takes place on Fire Island.

I just found out that Mary Ruefle, one of my favorite poets, has a web page where you can read her erasures.

FENCE Magazine’s newest issue is rad. The issue is worth buying for the Ariana Reines piece alone.

Speaking of Ariana, HER NEW BOOK IS BONKERS. I’ve been through it twice now and feel irrevocably changed by the experience.

I feel stupid for not knowing about LIES/ISLE until recently. Now, I just want to make sure you don’t make the same mistake.
