Co-presented with the New Dramatists

Harding Lemay, Michael Keck, and the PEN Prison Writing Program present a staged reading of the winning plays from this year’s Prison Writing Contest. Founded in 1971, the PEN Prison Writing Program believes in the restorative and rehabilitative power of writing by providing free handbooks and mentoring to inmates across the country, and by sharing their work through literary publications and readings. Each year the Program awards cash prizes for the best poetry, fiction, essay, memoir, and drama entries.
