PEN America Winter 2017 Author’s Evening with Ben Lerner & Wendy Mark

You are invited to a private dinner with poet Ben Lerner and  artist Wendy Mark.

The dinner will be hosted by Paul LeClerc and Judith Ginsburg at their home on Fifth Avenue on Friday, March 10th, 2017 at 7:30pm.

They will discuss UNTITLED (TRIPTYCH), a collaboration combining Ben’s poem ‘Untitled (Triptych)’ and Wendy’s monotypes published by Stinehour Editions. Guests of this dinner will each receive a limited edition copy. 

Ben Lerner is an American poet, novelist, essayist, and critic. He has been a Fulbright Scholar, a finalist for the National Book Award and the PEN/Bingham Award, a Howard Foundation Fellow, a Guggenheim Fellow, and he is currently a MacArthur Fellow. In 2011 he won the “Preis der Stadt Münster für internationale Poesie”, making him the first American to receive this honor. Lerner teaches at Brooklyn College, where he was named a Distinguished Professor of English in 2016. He is also the poetry editor for Harper’s Magazine.

Wendy Mark is a painter and printmaker primarily known for her monotypes. Her exhibitions often include collaborations with poets and writers and she has produced limited edition books with the Pulitzer Prize-winning poets, Mark Strand, Charles Simic, Paul Muldoon and David St. John. Her prints and books are in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Morgan Library, The Spenser and Berg collections at the New York Public Library, and numerous other museums.
