PEN America Virtual Authors’ Evening with Roger Lipsey

Roger Lipsey

Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2020
Time: 7:00pm ET / 4:00pm PT
Location: Zoom
Donation to Attend: $125 per ticket

Join us for an intimate conversation with Roger Lipsey to discuss his book Politics and Conscience: Dag Hammarskjold on the Art of Ethical Leadership. This conversation will feature special guest-hosts Kenneth Krushel & Patricia Fili-Krushel.

Politics and Conscience: Dag Hammarskjold on the Art of Ethical Leadership is a biography of Former Secretary-General of the United Nations Dag Hammarskjold, a revered politician who John F. Kennedy once referred to as “the greatest statesman of our century.” Hammarskjöld’s great leadership detailed by Lipsey, structuring the “accessible handbook” to the Secretary-General through short sections on themes such as courage, facing facts, and negotiations. It is a portrait of ethical leadership as impactful today as it was in Hammarskjöld’s time.

A $125 donation is required to attend this very special evening. This donation is considered 100 percent tax-deductible and supports PEN America’s mission to defend writers and free expression at a time of unprecedented need.
