Join PEN America for an intimate evening with Lawrence Wright, Pulitzer Prize winner and best-selling author of The End of October, an eerily timely novel about a pandemic, released earlier this yearThis event is generously sponsored by Daniel Bennett.

Lawrence Wright is also the author of The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11, winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction and named one of Time’s Top 100 Books of all time. Among his other works, we’ll discuss Lawrence’s April 2020 novel, The End of October, a riveting medical thriller–Dr. Henry Parsons, an unlikely but appealing hero, races to find the origins and cure of a mysterious new killer virus as it brings the world to its knees. As packed with suspense as it is with the fascinating history of viral diseases, Lawrence Wright has given us a full-tilt, electrifying, one-of-a-kind thriller.

A $125 donation is required to attend this very special evening. This donation is considered 100 percent tax-deductible and supports PEN America’s mission to defend writers and free expression at a time of unprecedented need.
