PEN America Virtual Author’s Evening with Charles Blow

Date: Tuesday, February 16

Time: 7:00pm ET / 4:00pm PT

Location: Zoom

Donation to Attend: $125 per person

Join us for a special conversation with New York Times Op-Ed columnist Charles Blow on his new novel The Devil You Know: A Black Power Manifesto. The evening is generously sponsored by Tom Healy.

In The Devil You Know, Blow, acclaimed journalist and bestselling author, presents a powerful manifesto and call to action for Black Americans to amass political power and fight white supremacy. After the historic pandemic and protests of the summer of 2020, Blow felt compelled to write a new story for Black Americans which drew on political observations and personal experience as a Black son of the South. This inspiring, groundbreaking work is sure to empower generations to educate themselves and reclaim their authority and freedom.

A $125 donation is required to attend this very special evening. This donation is considered 100 percent tax-deductible and supports PEN America’s mission to defend writers and free expression at a time of unprecedented need. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.

Space will be limited to 25 guests to facilitate audience participation and discussion. Following your RSVP, you will be sent the Zoom meeting invitation. This is a private video meeting, and only guests who are on the RSVP list will be permitted to join.
