Date: Tuesday, May 4, 2021
Time: 7:00pm ET / 4:00pm PT
Location: Zoom

Join us for an exclusive Author’s Evening hosted by Bridget Colman with PEN America President Ayad Akhtar on his latest novel Homeland Elegies.

Homeland Elegies is a story about an immigrant father and his son’s search for belonging in post-Trump America. Blending fact and fiction to tell an epic story of longing and dispossession, the work is a deeply personal account about identity and belonging. The novel, released this past September, was called “a tour de force” by The Washington Post and “a beautiful novel…that had echoes of The Great Gatsby and that circles, with pointed intellect, the possibilities and limitations of American life” by The New York Times. We are thrilled to be able to explore these timely issues in an intimate conversation with Ayad.

This special conversation will also serve as a kick off to the PEN America at 100 Exhibition curated by Bridget, who, for the first time, will share more about this exciting Exhibition launching in 2022.

To reserve your spot as Bridget’s guest or if you have any questions, please contact Events Manager Angie Lee at [email protected]. Closed captioning is available upon request.

We look forward to seeing you there!
