PEN America Authors’ Evening with James Hannaham in conversation with Jennifer Egan

This EVENT IS FULL

Please contact Christy Wensley at [email protected] if you would like to be added to the waitlist.

Join us for an intimate evening with James Hannaham and Jennifer Egan discussing Hannaham’s latest work, Didn’t Nobody Give a Shit What Happened to Carlotta, a raucous, irreverent, and “utterly brilliant” (Ayad Akhtar) story of a trans woman’s reentry into life on the outside after more than twenty years in prison. Singing with compassion and ambition, Hannaham delivers a fantastically entertaining read and a cast of unforgettable characters – as he challenges us to confront the glaring injustices of a prison system that continues to punish people long after their time has been served. Zachary Karabell and Nicole Alger are generously hosting this evening.

Tickets are $350 to attend this evening. Following your RSVP, you will be sent the address for the dinner. The donation is considered 100% tax-deductible and supports PEN America’s mission to defend writers and free expression at a time of unprecedented need. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.

If you have any questions, please contact Christy Wensley at [email protected].
