PEN America Author’s Evening with James Hannaham

Join us for an intimate evening with James Hannaham discussing Didn’t Nobody Give a Shit What Happened to Carlotta, a raucous, irreverent, and “utterly brilliant” (Ayad Akhtar) story of a trans woman’s reentry into life on the outside after more than twenty years in prison. Singing with compassion and ambition, Hannaham delivers a fantastically entertaining read and a cast of unforgettable characters – as he challenges us to confront the glaring injustices of a prison system that continues to punish people long after their time has been served. Stephanie and Geoff Gold are generously hosting this evening in Los Angeles.

Please RSVP to Allison Lee at [email protected] if you’d like to attend this evening.

Following your RSVP, you will be sent the address.

If you have any questions, please contact Christy Wensley at [email protected].
