PEN America Author’s Evening with George Packer

George Packer headshot and Last Best Hope book cover

Join us for an intimate evening with George Packer discussing Last Best Hope: America in Crisis and Renewal. One of The New York Times’s notable books of 2021, Packer looks at the narratives and myths which dominate discourse about America in the wake of recent events. In his “incisive, deftly argued book about the moral and political quandary of the United States,” Packer looks into a common American identity in a passion for equality (The Guardian). This evening is hosted by Alan Jones.

Tickets are $350 to attend this evening. The donation is considered 100 percent tax-deductible and supports PEN America’s mission to defend writers and free expression at a time of unprecedented need. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.
