Just Kids From the Bronx: Telling It the Way It Was with Arlene Alda, Thursday, February 25

You are invited to a private dinner with photographer and writer, Arlene Alda.

The dinner will be hosted by Hannah Pakula on Thursday, February 25th and will take place at her home on East 72nd Street.

Arlene will discuss her new book, Just Kids From the Bronx: Telling It the Way It Was: An Oral History, a touching and provocative assemblage of memories that evoke the history of one of America’s most influential boroughs – The Bronx. The parks, the pickup games, the tough and tender mothers, the politics, the gangs, the food – for people who grew up in the Bronx, the childhood recollections are vivid, nostalgic, and full of life.

Praise for Just Kids From the Bronx: Telling It the Way It Was: “Arlene Alda must be a great listener because all kinds of amazing people tell her remarkable things in Just Kids from the Bronx. No matter where you grew up, you’ll find this a down-to-earth, inspiring book about the American promise fulfilled.” ―President Bill Clinton

All proceeds will benefit PEN American Center.
