Playwrights and novelists Dorota Masłowska, José Luís Peixoto, and Vladimir Sorokin (who join us from Poland, Portugal, and Russia, respectively) talk about the challenges and exhilaration of adapting works to the stage. They discuss what has to happen as the work evolves from a one-on-one conversation between writer and reader into a public performance mediated by actors. This session will also feature readings of excerpts from the participants’ plays.
