Banned Books Week 2019: From Trauma to Transformation

PEN America, Tia Chucha Press, Tia Chucha Centro Cultural & Bookstore, and 100 Thousand Poets for Change joined together to celebrate banned and challenged books from around the world. In honor of Banned Books Week 2019, the event featured readings by family and friends that know and have survived the system of mass incarceration in the United States. The event also featured Poets and Writers from Trauma to Transformation, Roots & Wings, Street Poets, and Words Uncaged.
