[POSTPONED] PEN America Winter 2020 Authors’ Evening with Christine Coulson

Host: Andrea Glimcher
CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

UPDATE: Following increased concerns about the COVID-19 virus and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our hosts, authors, guests, and staff, our remaining Winter/Spring 2020 Authors’ Evening dinners are being rescheduled for the fall. We are closely following the guidance being provided by health agencies at the city, state, and federal levels and will continue to update this site with new dates as they are determined. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Author Christine Coulson will talk about her new novel, Metropolitan Stories. A surreal love letter to this private side of the Met, Metropolitan Stories unfolds in a series of amusing and poignant vignettes in which we discover larger-than-life characters, the downside of survival, and the powerful voices of the art itself. The result is a novel bursting with magic, humor, and energetic detail, but also a beautiful book about introspection, an ode to lives lived for art, ultimately building a powerful collage of human experience and the world of the imagination.

The PEN America Authors’ Evenings are nights of literary dinners in private homes and intimate settings. Please visit the Authors’ Evenings webpage for our full calendar of dinners.

Proceeds from the PEN America Authors’ Evenings dinners support PEN America’s programming to secure the liberty of persecuted and imprisoned writers around the world, to defend freedom of expression, and to promote literature and international cultural exchange.
