PEN America Winter 2019 Authors’ Evening with Min Jin Lee and Caroline Weber
This dinner will be hosted by Jackie Weld and Jeanette Sanger on Tuesday, February 21, 2019.
Caroline Weber will discuss her latest book Proust’s Distress: How Three Celebrated Women Captured the Imagination of Fin-de-Siecle Paris, a brilliant look at the glittering world of turn-of-the-century Paris through the first in-depth study of the three women Proust used to create his supreme fictional character, the Duchesse de Guermantes.
Min Jin Lee will discuss her latest book Pachinko, a gorgeous, page-turning saga of four generations of a poor Korean immigrant family fighting to control their destiny in 20th-century Japan, exiled from a home they never knew.
Tickets to this dinner are considered a 100% tax-deductible donation to PEN America and are available on a limited basis. Please click below to purchase your ticket(s) and reserve your seat(s).
