PEN America Winter 2019 Authors’ Evening with Caroline Weber and Michael Korda

This dinner will be hosted by Jackie Weld and Jeannette Sanger on Monday, June 10, 2019.

Caroline Weber will discuss her latest book Proust’s Distress: How Three Celebrated Women Captured the Imagination of Fin-de-Siecle Paris, a brilliant look at the glittering world of turn-of-the-century Paris through the first in-depth study of the three women Proust used to create his supreme fictional character, the Duchesse de Guermantes.

Michael Korda will discuss his latest book Alone: Britain, Churchill, and Dunkirk, which chronicles the outbreak of World War Two and the great events that led to Dunkirk.
