[VIRTUAL] 2020 Mayborn Conference

Mayborn Conference 2020 logo with text "Bringing Truth into Focus"The annual Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference is the nation’s premier gathering of journalists, writers, authors, and storytellers.

In the midst of the most politically tumultuous and frantic news cycles in history, journalists, and authors are telling stories that delve deeply into the truth of many of our most sacred institutions—the White House, Congress, corporations, healthcare, sports, the arts, and nearly every aspect of life.

The 2020 Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference is offering you the chance to listen, meet, and learn from some of the nation’s best reporters, writers, and storytellers. You’ll hear the stories behind the stories. You’ll hear from the reporters, writers, and editors who weave together the narrative and the dialogue to produce noteworthy, memorable work that gives relevance to the events of our times.

PEN America is proud to kick off the conversation with the event “Storytelling in an Age of Disinformation” on Friday, October 16 at 4:15pm CT. This event will feature Nora Benavidez, PEN America director of U.S. Free Expression Programs, and Tom Rosenstiel, executive director of America Press Institute.

Please register in advance for the conference. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about attending the event. All keynotes and planned sessions and panels will be livestreamed and archived on the Mayborn Conference website. For upcoming events, please visit the Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference’s website.
