This month, the PEN Poetry Series bids a fond and heavy-hearted farewell to Ben Mirov, one of the founding guest editors of our poetry series, along with Ana Božičević & Amy King. During Ben’s tenure as guest editor, he featured a tremendous range of poets and poetry, including new work by Chris Martin, Jeffrey Yang, D.A. Powell, John Yau, Matthew Zapruder, Amanda Nadelberg, Alli Warren, Lynn Xu, Jason Bredle, Patricia Lockwood, Dobby Gibson, and Geoffrey G. O’Brien.

Hungry for more Mirov? We featured Ben’s poem, “A Few Ideas from My Black Box,” back in October. And be sure to get your hands on Ben’s latest book, Hider Roser, while you still have time to say you knew about Ben before he was eating kale salad with Orpah.

And hey, one time we even chatted with Ben in the PEN offices about how and why he writes his poems. How about that?

We’ll miss you, Ben Mirov. Thanks for all your hard work over the past few years, and for helping to make the PEN Poetry Series what it is today.

Stay tuned, poetry addicts. Over the next three weeks, we’ll be profiling and featuring work by three new guest poetry editors. Who will they be?

Let the speculating begin.
