Etgar Keret was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1967.
Keret has published four books of short stories and novellas, a children's book, and two feature screenplays. His first feature film, Jellyfish, codirected with his wife, Shira Geffen, won the prestigious Camera d'Or prize at the 2007 Cannes festival.
His short story collection, The Nimrod Flipout, was published in 2006. His most recent book, The Girl on the Fridge, will be published in May 2008.
Keret was a participant in the 2006 PEN World Voices Festival.
